[Event] Positively Teal Party 2012 @ Zouk

ShabbyBlogsDividerA

It was a teal-coloured affair on that night out at Zouk, in celebration of life and raising awareness for Ovarian Cancer. Everything was in teal and I sure have to say that I adore the colour now. There was a press conference before the event started proper and guests were treated to teal coloured macaroons, balloons and sweet treats.

I didn’t really get to see all of that happening cuz I was backstage preparing for the fashion walk! The performances included a rousing drum act, fashion walk, band performance, sweet and sexy hula dance, and finally the steaming hot pole dance performance. I wish I could have stayed till the end for the lucky draw, but we were all too hungry!

The following photos were taken by Hammy. I’m so happy to have him, Ashlyn and Mei to come down give me some support for the fashion walk. It was my first and definitely unnerving, but the organizers kept reminding us to keep it relaxed and just do whatever we liked! Haha

Ashlyn even specially came dressed in teal! =)

Watch how we strut down the runway for a good cause! Teehee.

After the fashion walk, we just went to the floor and hung around. Got our drinks, took photos, and chatted awhile. Joyce, the blogger who was first on the fashion walk also decided to join us for drinks and dinner after the event.

Us at Xin Wang Cafe (Tiong Bahru Plaza). I’m really thankful for Ashlyn and Mei to make time for this event, and also Hammy, who absolutely hates clubs but still came down to support my first fashion walk for a good cause. :) I love you guys! And Joyce, who so bravely joined us for dinner, glad you did :)

I met so many wonderful people at the event and I was touched that the people there love life and were there to celebrate life. It was heart-warming to see cancer patients and survivors letting their hair down and having a good time, and I’m glad I’m able to help raise awareness on Ovarian Cancer with my small efforts through blogging. Thank you Singapore Cancer Society and partners for organizing the event, and KissJane for sponsoring our clothes! <3<3
