Beauty Review: Fight Oily, Sensitive, and Blemished Skin with Vichy Normaderm

The sweet people from Vichy Laboratoires sent me a lovely tin of goodies featuring the Vichy Normaderm range, specially formulated to treat imperfect skin like pimples, marks, shine, irregular texture! It arrived at the perfect time because I’m currently suffering from a bout of breakout and I have so many clogged pores due to all sorts of reasons like not drinking enough water and sleeping late.

[Review] Vichy Normaderm for sensitive and imperfect skin blogger kitThere are 4 products – Purifying Cleansing Gel, Imperfection prone skin Lotion, Tri-Activ Moisturiser, and Hyaluspot – neatly packed inside the exquisite tin box. For a basic skincare routine for blemish-prone skin, stick to a good routine of cleansing, toning, moisturising and a targeted spot treatment. The kit has everything I need to get started!

VICHY NORMADERM PURIFYING CLEANSING GEL

I love the gentleness of this Purifying Cleansing Gel. It washes away dirt and sebum without over-drying my skin. My skin feels so soft  and soothed after lathering on this gel. The creamy texture and fresh green apple  scent is so pleasant! The cleansing gel contains Salicylic acid to help clear and prevent skin blemishes.

There’s also this useful pump locking feature that I personally adore. Haha.

VICHY NORMADERM IMPERFECTION PRONE SKIN LOTION

[Review] Vichy Normaderm Imperfection Prone Skin Lotion (Pore-tightening Toner)If you ask me, Is the toner necessary? I will tell you absolutely yes. It is most often skipped and viewed as not needed in a basic skin care routine, when in fact it is probably the step that pulls everything together. It gently prepares the skin for the subsequent steps by double cleansing of impurities not removed by the cleanser, and re-balancing of the skin’s pH after it being altered during the washing step.

And then there are other plus points (if the toner is very hardworking) like helping to tighten pores, reduce redness, hydrate. And I can tell you, Vichy Normaderm’s Toner Lotion is a workaholic. It does everything above, and best of all, it does not contain alcohol that dries out skin. :)

[Review] Vichy Normaderm Imperfection Prone Skin Lotion (Pore-tightening Toner)After using a cotton pad to gently wipe across my face, impurities are lifted off. Imagine how much dirt is left in my skin if I didn’t use a good toner.

Vichy Normaderm Tri-Activ Moisturiser

[Review] Vichy Normaderm Tri-active anti-imperfection hydrating careThe Tri-Activ Moisturiser is the BEST SELLER from the Vichy Normaderm range, and I can absolutely understand why. When your skin shines with all that overactive sebum, you will love this ONE PRODUCT that hydrates, fights your imperfections, and mattifies your face all at the same time. I personally love this so much that I think I will repurchase it after my tube is finished.

[Review] Vichy Normaderm Tri-active anti-imperfection hydrating careIt has a light, non-greasy, non-sticky texture that glides on the skin, leaving a matte surface. Even after awhile, my face does not oil up as bad as when I do not apply it! This is really a multi-tasker, as it is great as a make-up base! Here are more brownie points earned: hypoallergenic, paraben-free, non-comedogenic, suitable for sensitive skin. I can use it as a make-up base without worrying that it will clog my pores underneath.

Vichy Normaderm Hyaluspot

I don’t have serious acne problems, but I do have that three or four pimples (okay that sounds a lot) that pop out from time to time. I always try not to squeeze because that leaves scars and it’s difficult to lighten them. I can only use a concealer to even out my skin tone for now.

This Vichy Normaderm Hyaluspot is applied directly on the pimple and it contains Salicylic Acid to eliminate 99.9% of pimple-causing bacteria in 2 hours! Ideally, pimples disappear in 2 days.

So far, I found that my pimples did not go away within 2 days, but they’re certainly healing. There’s a tingling sensation on the spots where I’ve applied. I will continue using it until they have subsided. It works (my bumps went down), but just takes a bit longer for me. I’m also concerned about the repeated touching of my pimples with the applicator, does that transfer the bacteria back onto my skin? Hmm.. I would use an alcohol swab to wipe the applicator after each application if I had them at home.

Overall, I’m loving this range! Thank you Vichy for the generosity :)

I have a question, dose the moisturizer of Vichy have Alcohol or not? Cuz I’m afraid it’s gonna dry out my skin (my skin is acne prone combination skin). And thank you for your review. love it so much :)))))
