I love making gadget pouches, and have always wondered how people made them without visible seams. You see, the ones I’ve been making are of felt (available at Beary Naise online store) and you could see the sides of the cloths in the end products. Those are made in the image of cute animals and you can tell that they are hand-sewn with one look. But I’ve also been intrigued by how people made beautiful professional-looking gadget sleeves with all sorts of patterned cloth. I have been working on iPad sleeves prototypes the past few days and here is first one I did, with help from online tutorials and a bit of experimentation.
This is a very simple iPad sleeve featuring elastic hook and button closure, and fully padded with orange fleece.
With more exploration with pockets and other kinds of closures and addition of more personalised elements, I’m sure I’ll be able to put machine-sewn products up in the Beary Naise store soon! :D I’m currently waiting for a batch of vintage fabric to arrive from the US! I’m beary excited.
Do check out the felt pouches we have available at Beary Naise!
