It was with much anticipation when I signed up for “Never Too Busy To Cook” workshop jointly organized by Panasonic Sg and Omy.sg! Why?? Cuz there was gonna be free food! Haha no lah, mainly cuz I was attracted by the cooking workshop presented by famous Singapore Food Bloggers Miss Tam Chiak (Maureen) and DanielFoodDiary (Daniel)! =D I thought it was gonna be like cooking classes where each participant has his/her own stove and had to cook, but it turned out that it was just an interactive demonstration. Haha might as well, because I didn’t want to embarrass myself in case my food didn’t taste nice. Haha But I got called up to help with making the blueberry cheesecake! (Miss Tam Chiak remembered my name!) Haha you’ll see the end product later. It was oh-so-yums!
The event was held at The Singapore Flyer, which was easier to get to than I thought. It’s just a short walking distance away from Promenade Mrt. Coincidentally met my friend at the event! Great thing so I didn’t feel so alone. Plus I also made some new friends with people sitting at the same table as me :P
First up we had lunch sponsored by The Food Trail. All local delights as we feasted upon Fried Hokkien mee, Ngoh Hiang, Rojak, Sambal Stingray, Fried Oyster, Roast & Steamed Chicken and Bah Kut Teh~~ I really like the Fried Oyster Omelette, but I was sitting at the end of the long table like a Chairman and so didn’t reach out to grab more of that. :X

The table I was sitting at. It was my first experience that everyone present was there for a same purpose – food photography! Everyone whipped out their cameras to snap photos of all the food dishes before eating. Some used their iPhone (like me) and there were those who brought out the big guns, DSLR cameras.
During lunch, Maureen and Daniel gave us tips on how to achieve amazing food photos. How are my photos in this post?! Lol I tried my best to shoot from the best angles already. ^^
Then after having a yummy lunch, it was time for the cooking workshop! Using household appliances from Panasonic, Maureen and Daniel showed us how easy it was to cook up a feast at home.

My favourites were the Grilled Salmon and Blueberry Cheesecake! The salmon was so tender, coupled with the melted cheese and grilled vegetables, it left me craving for more. Oh the cheesecake was just heavenly and definitely cafe-worthy. The Organic brown rice was tasty as well, somewhat a little like claypot rice. The smoothie was refreshing but it didn’t taste anything like its ingredients! I tasted banana, but the ingredients were strawberry, mango, and others. Hahaha but still good nonetheless.

Ahhhhh!!! Heavenly cheesecake. Blueberry is my favourite anytime! Waffle, pancake, cheesecake, anything! I can even eat the jam on its own, which I like to do when I have waffles. :P
Maureen and Daniel are such bubbly and friendly people! We had a couple of laughs and even though the weather was a little humid, I was infected by their enthusiasm and enjoyed the event thoroughly :) Thank you for your hard work! Thank you Omy.sg and Panasonic for the event!
