Apart from making laptop bags and phone pouches, I’ve started another range of bags that Beary Naise is currently exploring, and it is very exciting. Introducing, the “Fashion Bags Project” from Beary Naise, it’ll contain handbags in different shapes and sizes, patterns and designs, all very handmade and unique.
For starters, let me show you the first fashion bag that I’ve made to use at a media launch of a beauty product.
The Over-sized Clutch
Made of very beautiful floral rose prints, featuring classy pleats on the flap. The pleats add some dimension to the rose print so it doesn’t appear so flat.
A closer look at the pleats… under natural light.
Who doesn’t love girly pleats?
The interior holds even more surprises!
An equally pretty black and white rosette fabric, iPad friendly (the orange thing you see), and plenty of room for my belongings. To make the bag more functional, I added a zipped pocket for keys and a phone slot so they won’t be swimming around in the oversized clutch.
This was how it looked before it was put together.
I’m really sorry I didn’t take many photos, in fact, this is the only one, because I was so excited to see the finished product that I just bam bam bam and zoomed past the whole sewing process. I promise I will share more on the making process in my next bag ;)
To complete the bag, I used this special heart-shaped magnet clasp for closure and it turned out so pretty.
My OOTD for the media launch of Talika Paris’ new line of skincare products, which I will blog about in the near future. :) I went representing Mypeaceofheaven.com.
I love how the clutch adds a little bit of fun and femininity to my outfit (blazer and dress). It is also very classy. I really love how it turned out!
I never thought I would one day be making bags for myself and others; It would have been unimaginable a few years’ back. If you would like to order this oversized clutch, feel free to drop a comment or email me at email@example.com. I have enough fabric to make one more. :)
