Hey everyone, it’s Ziaja again!!! :) This time I will be reviewing two of their Marine Algae Spa products. Read my previous post on Ziaja’s Goat’s Milk series and a GIVEAWAY!
When I first heard of this Marine Algae Spa series from Ziaja, I was pretty intrigued. What is Marine Algae, and do they really put algae inside? How do they capture the scent of the marine breeze in a bottle?? I was looking forward to find out what it exactly smells like. ;)
Here I have with me, the Marine Algae Spa Shower Gel and Deep Moisturising Cream.
Marine Algae Shower Gel $9.90
First thing I did when I received the products was to SMELL ‘EM!! Haha. And it really did not disappoint! Captured in this bottle of shower gel is the essence of marine breeze, so refreshing and invigorating. At first whiff, I thought it smelled like sweet white wine, then when I used it, I felt like I had walked into a flower shop. That’s so random, I know! But all you have to know is that, it sure smelled good. ^^
Verdict on the shower gel…
This shower gel does more than just waking you up with its refreshing scent, because it actually has anti-ageing purposes! There are many whitening and moisturising shower gels in the market, but one that helps you reduce wrinkles and restores firmness, plus all the usual stuff like moisturising and smoothing? Ziaja definitely turned it up one notch with its Marine Algae Spa line.
I’ve used this for the past week and I feel that my skin is smoother and hydrated after showering! The scent is uplifting to my senses as well. I will continue to use this cuz I’m in love with the result. :)
Marine Algae Deep Moisturising Cream $8
It’s amazing how Ziaja harnesses different ingredients for their products. In my earlier post, I talked about Ziaja using Goat’s Milk. This time, it’s Marine Algae.
All products of Ziaja Marine Algae Spa series are dermatological and allergy tested, pH-balanced, and not tested on animals. :D
Verdict on the deep moisturising cream…
What I find lovely is that although it is a deep moisturising cream, it has a rather light consistency and spreads easily. But it does leave a shiny layer on the skin. This could work for or against you. If your skin lacks glow, this cream could be the answer. But if your skin is combination to oily, the shine might be too harsh on your face.
Other products available from the Marine Algae Spa line
Look, Ziaja has a complete Marine Algae Spa line! I heard the Micellar Water is good. It functions like a toner and gently removes make up and excess sebum. The products in this line all contain an active ingredient: Hydro-Retinol, an anti-wrinkle substance!
Hydro-Retinol is cultivated from blue algae from Klamath Lake in Oregon. Other active ingredients include different types of seaweed. Some of are even edible and used in making seaweed soup in Asia!
